 Special Consultant Karen Dean email:kld@waxlaw.com Karen is a professional science and medical writer and editor whose communication projects include managing and writing for a bimonthly publication on complementary and alternative medicine, and crafting extraordinary ability/national interest waiver petitions for researchers working in academia and industry. She coordinates a team of experienced specialist consultants assisting in the assembling of documentation supporting EB-1 and EB-2 petitions. Karen served as coauthor, with Nathan Waxman, of the July 1997 Immigration Briefing monograph, A Practitioner's Guide to the National Interest Waiver, and has spoken with Nathan on several nationwide, national interest waiver-focused teleconferences. For the past 15 years, Karen has written and edited articles in a broad range of scientific and technical topics. For 6 years she was an editor/writer of technology transfer-oriented newsletters and electronic briefing services, and most recently she has focused on topics relating to non-Western, nutritional, preventive, and ethnic medicine. |
